Position Overview

Elliott-Lewis Corporation is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll Department. This position will be responsible for all aspects of processing weekly payroll for both non-union employees and union employees. This role is also responsible for union reporting, payroll taxes, and other reporting requirements as needed.  This position will collaborate daily with a variety of teams including: Human Resources, Accounting, Safety Department, as well as Directors and Managers across the business units. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be seeking a long-term relationship with an employer to further their career. This is a full-time and non-exempt (hourly) position.

Role and Responsibilities

  •          Review labor hours to ensure accurate and timely processing of union and non-union payroll.
  •          Report certified payrolls.
  •          Prepare weekly and monthly union reports and payments.
  •          Reconcile federal and state liability accounts to balance sheet weekly and quarterly.
  •          Responsible for payroll adjustments for work orders and job costs.
  •          Assist when needed with responding to unemployment inquiries.
  •          Assist when needed with processing and tracking child support requirements and payments.

  

Required Skills and Education

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll department
  • Must have experience processing payroll for unionized employees
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • A High School Diploma or GED

 

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience in a payroll department supporting trades or construction industries greatly desired
  • Proficient in additional Microsoft programs including Great Plains (aka GP or Dynamics), PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Experience with LCPtracker, a website portal for managing Certified Payroll
